Era of the Great Nomad Migrations and the Emergence of the First Pre-State Formations in the Carpathian-Danubian Region
(9th – 13th centuries)
The great migration of nomadic peoples had an impact on material culture of the area. Although these conditions produced a ruralization of the social-economic life, commercial links with the Byzantine world continued.
At the same period there is laid the foundation for development of the unique culture in this area – the Dridu culture.
As a result of the development of communities in the region, in the 9th – 12th centuries the first pre-state formations appear.
