The National Museum of History of Moldova announces the opening of the exhibition "Dacia. L'ultima frontiera della romanità", at the National Roman Museum in Rome (Diocletian Baths). The inauguration event took place on November 20, in Rome, in the presence of numerous high officials from Italy, Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
The exhibition project is designed and coordinated by the National History Museum of Romania, under the auspices of the Romanian Ministry of Culture, carried out in partnership with the Romanian Embassy in Italy, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Romanian Cultural Institute through the Accademia di Romania, benefiting of support from the Romanian Ministry of National Defense.
The exhibition in which about 1000 artifacts from the collections of 47 museums in Romania are presented was also completed with pieces from the heritage of the National Museum of History of Moldova.
The exhibition, which benefits from a very special staging, is the largest and most valuable exhibition project in the last 25 years dedicated to the civilization of the Getae and Dacians, the Roman one as well as the civilizations of the first migrants in the area north of the Danube, in the period between the century VII BC and the end of the century VII BC Versions of the exhibition were also presented in Madrid (in 2021) and in Bucharest (in 2022), with great success with the public.
The exhibition "Dacia. L'ultima frontiera della romanità", can be visited at the National Roman Museum in Rome (Diocletian Baths) between November 21, 2023 and April 21, 2024.
