The 7th National Choral Music Contest “Spring Hora”

On Sunday, May 29, 2022, the 7th National Choral Music Contest "Spring Hora" dedicated to the great composer and conductor Victor Creangă was held at the National Museum of History of Moldova. The contest is organized at the initiative of Ms. Elena Marian, President of the Musical Choral Association, Master of Art.
The event was attended by 20 artistic groups from all over the country (Bălți, Chișinău, Criuleni, Edineț, Leova, Orhei, Soroca, Strășeni). The contest was held in age categories: A1 - children's choirs (age 7-12); A2 - children's choirs (age 12-16); B - youth choirs, women's choirs and men's choirs (age 16-21); C - mixed choirs (age from 21 years old). The contest jury included choir conductors Valentin Budilevschi, Emilia Moraru, Victor Nevoie, Valentina Bolduratu, composers Adrian Beldiman and Andriano Marian. Within the event, diplomas of the first, second, third degree, the Grand Prix, as well as special prizes were awarded. Each choir performed 5 pieces, one of which was written by the composer Victor Creangă. A concert of Ukrainian songs was also prepared for the event, in which Mrs. Olesia Shevchenko, wife of H. E. Ambassador of Ukraine in Chișinău Mark Shevchenko, also took part. Mrs. Olesia Shevchenko sincerely thanked the organizers of the contest, the National Museum of History of Moldova and the entire Moldavian people for supporting Ukraine in this difficult time. The National Museum of History of Moldova brings sincere congratulations to all the participants and is proud to host this wonderful event!
