The opening of the graphic and painting exhibition "Ion Tâbîrță. In memoriam"

The National Museum of History of Moldova had the honor to mark the opening of the graphic and painting exhibition "Ion Tâbîrță. In memoriam", tribute to the outstanding plastic artist Ion Tâbîrță. During the event, with speeches participated the Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan, the Deputy Director of NMHM Livia Ermurachi, the curator of the exhibition Serghei Kliuchnikoff, the plastic artist Ghenadie Jalbă, Luminița Tăburța, the daughter of the painter Ion Tâbîrța, and Rodica Tăburța, the head of the Design department at the Faculty, Computer Science, Engineering and Design ULIM. The exhibition "Ion Tâbîrță. In memoriam" presented approximately 50 of the artist's works, some of which were exhibited for the first time in front of the public. Among them were series of paintings, linocuts and etchings, illustrating the variety and depth of his creation. Ion Tâbîrță was known for his diverse approach, exploring themes such as everyday life, the urban and rural landscape, as well as outstanding historical figures. The master's works have been appreciated and exhibited in more than 20 countries, and many of them can be found in the collections of art museums in the Republic of Moldova and abroad. The exhibition "Ion Tâbîrță. In memoriam" is open to the public from March 28 to April 28, 2024, in Hall 1 of the National Museum of History of Moldova, Chisinau, str. 31 August 1989, no. 121A.
