#Exhibit of the Month

The National Bank of Moldova annually issues commemorative or anniversary coins dedicated to various historical events, prominent cultural and scientific figures, the promotion of heritage and cultural traditions, architectural monuments, the flora and fauna of the Republic of Moldova, etc. A significant place in the coin series of the Republic of Moldova is held by those reflecting key milestones in the formation and development of our country. These coins are the subject of this mini-exhibition:

THE 13TH NUMISMATIC SYMPOSIUM

September 7, 2012

Between 5 to 9 September 2012 at the National Museum of Archaeology and History of Moldova it was held the 13^th Numismatic Symposium organized in collaboration with the "Vasile Pârvan" Institute of Archaeology of the Romanian Academy from Bucharest and the Numismatic Society of the Republic of Moldova. It was attended by numismatists and collectors from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine. There were presented over 30 scientific papers on the general issues of numismatics, as well as related to the study of numismatic material discovered in the Republic of Moldova and in the countries of origin of participants.
