The exhibition with this title gathers together 40 photographs signed by Valeriu Turea, former Moldovan Ambassador to Portugal, and is intended as a tribute to Portugal, with which Moldova is bound not only by the same roots, language and civilization, but also through a large number of compatriots settled temporarily or permanently in the land of Camões.
The title of the exhibition is based on the analogy with Japan, considered the "land of the rising sun", but the meaning is somewhat broader: while retaining a specific meaning, the Portuguese have quite an accurate equivalent for the term longing - saudade. Mircea Eliade, who worked at the Romanian Embassy in Portugal, wrote a comparative study on this subject.
Exhibition "Portugal, the country of the rising longing" is full of light and color; it is a mix of people sand places. The author surprised with camera viewfinder Portugal's beauty and particularity - architecture, scenic landscapes and authentic people of this country.
