Conference „Discovering Lipatti”

The National Museum of History of Moldova hosted a special event in memory of Dinu Lipatti, 100 years from the birth of the Romanian pianist and composer, event organized by the Moldovan National Youth Orchestra.
The most important Romanian pianist of all time - Dinu Lipatti, has been celebrated in Chișinău in the Blue Hall of the National Museum of History of Moldova, through a novel piano recital, performed by Laura Balicov and Alexandru Prigalo. The protagonists of the homage concert performed on the piano the following plays: „Sonatina for the left hand" and „Nocturna" by Dinu Lippati, "Waltz in mi bemol major - Op. 18" and "Brilliant Waltz" op. 34 no. 1" by Frederic Chopin, „Jesu, joy of man's desiring" by J. S. Bach.
Gabriel Bebeșelea, main conductor of MNYO, one of the most appreciated Romanian conductors of the moment, was the special guest at the event.
The piano recital "Discovering Lipatti" is part of the Moldovan National Youth Orchestra summer project, the 7th edition, with several musical events taking place in Moldova, Romania and Germany.
