#Exhibit of the Month

The National Bank of Moldova annually issues commemorative or anniversary coins dedicated to various historical events, prominent cultural and scientific figures, the promotion of heritage and cultural traditions, architectural monuments, the flora and fauna of the Republic of Moldova, etc. A significant place in the coin series of the Republic of Moldova is held by those reflecting key milestones in the formation and development of our country. These coins are the subject of this mini-exhibition:

The event was organized by the Moldova-Institut Leipzig, Friedrich-Ebert Foundation, Moldavian-German Forum, National Museum of Archaeology and History of Moldova, and the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives “Viitorul”. It was attended by cultural workers and scientists from the Republic of Moldova and Germany, among which there are Dr. Klaus Bochmann, the Chairman of the Moldova-Institut Leipzig; Igor Corman, the Chairman of the Moldavian-German Forum and the Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova; Dr. Vasile Dumbrava, Moldova-Institut Leipzig; Dr. Igor Sharov, State University of Moldova; Dr. Ute Schmidt, Freie Universitat (Berlin); and others.
