Ion Ungureanu celebrated at the National Museum of History of Moldova

The National Museum of History of Moldova hosted an exceptional cultural event dedicated to celebrating the 80th anniversary from the birth of the illustrious scholar Ion Ungureanu.
The event "Ion Ungureanu, a destiny light by the Evening Star" was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova, the National Museum of History of Moldova and the Theatre Union of Moldova. First rank personalities from the cultural and scientific community of Moldova, academics, actors, singers, teachers and students came to pay homage to the renowned actor, director and politician.
The event started with the presentation of an homage exhibition with over 230 photographic images, documents, books, theater programs and posters, trophies and awards on display, relics that reflect important aspects of the life and work of one of the most prominent personalities of the national culture.
Many persons spoke about Ion Ungureanu's personality and invaluable contribution to the revival and development of national culture, to promoting national and universal values, among them: the Minister of Culture Monica Babuc; academicians Eugen Doga, Ion Hadârcă, Nicolae Dabija, Gheorghe Ghidirim; writer Spiridon Vangheli; composer Constantin Rusnac; president of Theater Union of Moldova Sandu Grecu; president of the Union of Writers of Moldova Arcadie Suceveanu; president of the Union of Cinematographers of Moldova Sergiu Prodan; director of "Luceafărul" Theater Boris Focșa; director of the National Theatre "Mihai Eminescu" Petru Hadârcă; colleagues and disciples of the maestro Ion Ungureanu.
The actors of „Ginta Latină" Theater fascinated the audience with a theatrical message of congratulation while the singer Zinaida Bolboceanu brought a beautiful bouquet of folk songs as gift.
The event culminated with a superb recital of poetry, songs and dances, supported by students and teachers from "Ion Ungureanu" gymnasium from Opaci village, Causeni district, which is Ion Ungureanu's native place.
