Music and dance performance „On Dragobete”

Every year, the National Museum of History of Moldova celebrates the Dragobete, god of youth in the local pantheon, patron of love and good mood. Promoting this holiday aims to cultivate perennial moral and spiritual values of love and friendship, respect for Romanian traditions among young people.
On February 23, the National Museum of History of Moldova organized in cooperation with the Aesthetic Education Center "Lăstărel" an event for young audiences - students from the vocational school no. 6, minors from the social rehabilitation center for children "Casa Gavroche" and children from vulnerable families - the show "On Dragobete", dedicated to the most beautiful Romanian holiday of love. The event took place in a romantic setting in the Blue Room of the National Museum of History of Moldova.
The musical-literary program has brought into discussion traditions related to love. Part of the program was the play "The Legend of Dragobete", interpretation of the most beautiful love songs and folk dance. The show, greeted with applause by the students present at the event, was prepared by artistic collectives of the Aesthetic Education Center "Lăstărel" such as: vocal-choral circle, leader Vasile Roșioru, concert master Mihai Saveliev; vocal group "Tinerețe Floare", leader Marcel Stoian; folk dance group "Brâuleț", leader Grigore Corcinschi, concert master Iurie Graur; vocal group "Solo", leader Marina Grumeza, master group Irina Bogaciova; vocal circle, leader Evghenia Bolotova; band of accordionists, leader Alexandru Braguța; vocal group "ELL-BY-Star", leader Nelea Maslo, concert master Mariana Ganea.
The song, dance and good will were the main coordinates of the museum event „On Dragobete".
