#Exhibit of the Month

The National Bank of Moldova annually issues commemorative or anniversary coins dedicated to various historical events, prominent cultural and scientific figures, the promotion of heritage and cultural traditions, architectural monuments, the flora and fauna of the Republic of Moldova, etc. A significant place in the coin series of the Republic of Moldova is held by those reflecting key milestones in the formation and development of our country. These coins are the subject of this mini-exhibition:

Exhibition dedicated to the European Anti-trafficking Day

October 18th-26th, 2014

A temporary exhibition was organized at the National Museum of History of Moldova on October 18th, marking the European Anti-trafficking Day as part of the National Campaign „Week of fight against trafficking in human beings". On display were photos, paintings, sculpture, 3-D models, also plastic human figurines with real accounts of the victims meant to increase awareness of museum visitors about the recruiting methods and ways of exploitation of human beings.

Exhibition dedicated to the European Anti-trafficking Day

On the occasion of the exhibition opening was organized the award ceremony for the best work presented based on the popular vote by the exhibition visitors. The winners of the contest are:

1st Place - Diana Șchiopu (prize of 2000 lei)
2nd Place - Tudor Beregoi (prize of 1500 lei)
3rd Place - Mariana Lucas (prize of 1000 lei)

The event was organized by the Permanent Secretariat of the National Committee for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, ATIP Moldova volunteers, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Culture, in partnership with the National Museum of History of Moldova.
