#Exhibit of the Month

The National Bank of Moldova annually issues commemorative or anniversary coins dedicated to various historical events, prominent cultural and scientific figures, the promotion of heritage and cultural traditions, architectural monuments, the flora and fauna of the Republic of Moldova, etc. A significant place in the coin series of the Republic of Moldova is held by those reflecting key milestones in the formation and development of our country. These coins are the subject of this mini-exhibition:

Contest of essays dedicated to the Centenary of the Great Union

June 28-29, 2018

The National Museum of History of Moldova hosted the first contest of essays addressed to the audience of the National Institute of Justice of the Republic of Moldova and the auditors of the National Institute of Magistracy in Romania.

The event, dedicated to the Centenary of the Great Union, was organized by the NIJ of the Republic of Moldova and the NIM of Romania based on the Collaboration Protocol signed in 2014 by the two judicial training institutions.

The essays presented in the competition addressed several themes in the field of "Integration of legal institutions after the Union in 1918 in the interwar period". They consisted of analyzes and researches of important events recorded at the time of the union of Bessarabia with Romania on March 27th, 1918 and which culminated with the realization of the Great Union on December 1, 1918. The themes approached were largely focused on the successes registered in the integration of the Bessarabian judicial system in the Romanian space and the consolidation of the rule of law within Greater Romania.

The jury evaluated the papers presented in the contest and nominated the winners. Thus, for the auditors of the National Institute of Magistracy in Romania the 1st place went to Alexandru Radu Togan, 2nd place to Nicolae Cărăuș, 3rd place to Elena Aurelia Bâlu; for the audience of the National Institute of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, Maria Bîzgan was ranked with the 1st place, Petru Iarmaliuc with the 2nd place and Nicolae Negru with the 3rd place.
