International Financial Education Week at NMHM

During the International Financial Education Week, held between March 18-24, 2024, the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) organized educational activities in which more than 2,500 children and young people participated. They took place both at the headquarters of the central bank and at the National Museum of History of Moldova, including exhibitions of old and modern coins, workshops and interactive games related to financial education. The governor of NBM, Anca Dragu, personally led innovative activities, including the simulation of a monetary policy meeting with the students of the "Aristotel" Republican Theoretical High School. He also participated in an interactive game at the National History Museum of Moldova, explaining the concept of inflation in a way accessible to children. As part of the partnership with the National Museum of History of Moldova, NBM organized presentations on safety features, a numismatic exhibition and public lessons on financial education, thus contributing to the promotion of financial awareness and personal financial skills among children and young people in the Republic of Moldova. The International Financial Education Week (Global Money Week) has reached its 12th edition and aims to support children and young people in the awareness of the importance of financial education, the accumulation of the knowledge and skills necessary to make well-founded personal financial decisions.
