#Exhibit of the Month

The National Bank of Moldova annually issues commemorative or anniversary coins dedicated to various historical events, prominent cultural and scientific figures, the promotion of heritage and cultural traditions, architectural monuments, the flora and fauna of the Republic of Moldova, etc. A significant place in the coin series of the Republic of Moldova is held by those reflecting key milestones in the formation and development of our country. These coins are the subject of this mini-exhibition:

Teacher's Day at the Museum

October 4, 6, 2022

In the context of the Teacher's Day, which is marked annually on October 5, the museographers of the National Museum of History of Moldova organized a series of interactive visits for students from the capital, which come to draw attention to the field of education and the importance of the teaching profession.

Guided by museographers Natalia Popovici, Eugenia Golban, but also by their school teachers, the students of the "Mircea Eliade" Theoretical High School from Chisinau, through the thematic exhibition „Educational heritage. Textbooks, photos and school supplies from the collections of the National Museum of History of Moldova" took a journey through time and found out how school education in our space evolved, starting from the tsarist period and up to the present day.

The students were able to compare the peculiarities of school education from different historical periods, and at the end, the most attentive among them went home with gifts from the Museum.
