From June 23 to June 28, 2026, the National Museum of History of Moldova is hosting the exhibition "My Beautiful Moldova", bringing together works created specifically for the "Art & Women of Moldova" Festival.
The exhibition offers a visual reflection on the identity, memory, and sensitivity of a cultural space positioned between tradition and modernity. Through the displayed works, the artists shape a Moldova that is not merely geographical, but deeply personal-a Moldova lived, felt, and reinterpreted through each individual's gaze.
Bringing together 16 participating artists at the opening, the exhibition highlights a diversity of styles and artistic expressions, reflecting the complexity of cultural identity and the richness of women's experiences in art. The central theme stems from the concept of belonging: what does "home" mean, and how is this feeling translated into artistic language. Whether through landscapes, traditional symbols, or abstract expressions of collective memory, each artwork becomes a dialogue between past and present, between roots and evolution.
In a context where cultural identity is continuously being redefined, the exhibition serves as a space for reconnection and reflection. It unites artistic voices driven by the desire to celebrate the authentic beauty of Moldova-not idealized, but sincere, complex, and alive. "My Beautiful Moldova" is thus more than an exhibition; it is a collective experience, an invitation for the public to rediscover meanings, emotions, and deep connections with the places and values that define us.
The exhibition "My Beautiful Moldova" can be visited from June 23 to June 28, 2026, in the ground floor lobby of the National Museum of History of Moldova, Chișinău, 121 A, 31 August 1989 St.
