Activity “ALL DIFFERENT, ALL EQUAL”
December 11, 2024
On December 11, 2024, the National Museum of History of Moldova, in partnership with the Association of Historical Reenactment Clubs "Bastion," organized the activity "ALL DIFFERENT, ALL EQUAL," dedicated to the beneficiaries of the "Plaiul Soarelui" Foundation.
The event was held in the context of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, aiming to promote social inclusion and celebrate diversity through cultural heritage.
Participants took part in an interactive workshop where they engaged in traditional medieval bracelet weaving techniques. This activity offered not only an insight into the craftsmanship of the Middle Ages but also an opportunity to practice manual coordination, focus, and creativity. The materials used included natural fiber threads such as linen and wool, and the reproduced designs were inspired by historical artifacts discovered in the region.
In addition to the workshop, the beneficiaries enjoyed a series of medieval games, designed to stimulate their strategic thinking, teamwork and motor skills. Through these games, participants were encouraged to interact, collaborate and develop self-confidence, all in a relaxing and positive environment.
The activity "ALL DIFFERENT, ALL EQUAL" highlighted the importance of history as a means of social inclusion and education, emphasizing that diversity is a valuable resource that deserves to be celebrated.
