#Exhibit of the Month

The National Bank of Moldova annually issues commemorative or anniversary coins dedicated to various historical events, prominent cultural and scientific figures, the promotion of heritage and cultural traditions, architectural monuments, the flora and fauna of the Republic of Moldova, etc. A significant place in the coin series of the Republic of Moldova is held by those reflecting key milestones in the formation and development of our country. These coins are the subject of this mini-exhibition:

Book Presentation ”LET’S KNOW EACH OTHER”

The National Museum of Archaeology and History of Moldova hosted a presentation of the publication LET’S KNOW EACH OTHER by Constantin Pawljuk, the Chairman of the Association “Kulturverein Moldova e.V” from Germany. The book published in 2009 in Berlin summarizes the 10-year activity of the cultural association, reflecting its contribution to the cultural exchange between the Republic of Moldova and Germany.

The event was attended by representatives of public associations of national minorities in the Republic of Moldova, university professors, cultural workers, students, and journalists. There made their speeches: Constantin Pawljuk, the author; Felix Mihailean, the Chairman of the International Charity Association of Armenian Medics and Lawyers in Moldova “Urartu”; Iulian Caranfil, a composer and performer of pop music; Lyudmila Lashchonova, the Chairlady of the Russian Community in the Republic of Moldova; Vera Petuhov, the General Deputy Director of the Bureau of Interethnic Relations.

The event was concluded with a concert with the participation of students from the Academy of Music, Theatre, and Fine Arts and students from the Ciprian Porumbescu Music Lyceum.
