Event for the commemoration of writer Dumitru Matcovschi

April 10, 2014

The Year of Dumitru Matcovschi was marked on April 10 at the National Museum of History of Moldova in cultural-educational event entitled "The poet who taught us flying high, longing and crying".

The event was attended by students of VIII B class of the "Minerva" High School (tutor Silvia Candu, teacher of Romanian language and literature), students, curators. Guest of honor of the anniversary event was Victoria Fonari, literary critic, poet , doctor of philology, lecturer at the State University of Moldova, member of the Writers' Union of Moldova.

In the course of the event there sounded poems and songs on lyrics of the master, who worshiped in a special way in his creation the family, parental home, Motherland, which he fondly called "the edge", because world's "edges were always beautiful."
