Good Deeds Day 2026
April 26, 2026
On Sunday, April 26, 2026, the National Museum of History of Moldova joined the international initiative Good Deeds Day, offering visitors four educational activities designed to bring museum heritage closer to the public and to encourage community involvement. The event was organized by the Museum's Public Relations Department and brought together pupils, teenagers, and adults in a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.
Participants discovered the richness of heritage through thematic workshops and a free guided tour of the exhibition halls. The workshop "The Archaeological Object - an Enigma", coordinated by museum curator Galina Mîrzac, introduced pupils to the fascinating world of archaeological discoveries. Adults enjoyed a guided tour of the museum's exhibitions led by curator Eugenia Golban, who provided a broad perspective on the collections.
Pupils explored the history of writing in the workshop "History and Art of Writing", coordinated by Natalia Popovici, Head of the Museum Education Department, learning about the evolution of the alphabet and writing instruments. Teenagers and adults took part in the workshop "The History of Money and People", coordinated by curator Alina Parabina, where they discovered stories about monetary circulation and the role of money in society.
Through these activities, the National Museum of History of Moldova demonstrated that a museum is not only a space of historical memory, but also a place of education, solidarity, and civic engagement. Good Deeds Day 2026 confirmed that simple gestures, carried out together, can have a significant impact on the community.
The National Museum of History of Moldova extends its gratitude to all participants and partners who supported this initiative. Thanks to their involvement, the event became an example of unity and generosity, reinforcing the museum's role as a space of culture and social responsibility.
