Round table entitled "Archaeology of the Republic of Moldova through the prism of Moldavian-German relations"

On September 6, in the Azure Hall of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, took place the round table with the generic "Archaeology of the Republic of Moldova through the prism of Moldovan- German relations", organized by the National Museum of History of Moldova in the partnership with the Academy of Sciences of Moldova. The welcoming speeches were given by acad. Ion Tighineanu , the President Academy of Sciences of Moldova, acad. Anatolie Sidorenko, President of "Humboldt Club Moldova" Association, Ullrich Kinne, Embassy of Germany in Chisinau and dr. hab. professor Michael Meyer, Free University of Berlin. The event moderated by the General Director of the National Museum of History of Moldova, dr. hab. Eugen Sava, brought together students, archaeologists and researchers who reviewed their experience regarding the Moldovan-German collaboration in the field of archaeological research and the mutual exchange of experience. During the round table, dr. hab. professor Michael Meyer was awarded with "Dimitrie Cantemir" the highest sign of appreciation given by Academy of Sciences of Moldova. The participants of the round table emphasized the importance of Moldovan-German cooperation in the field of scientific research but also of their intensification, as they have a considerable contribution in the development of young archaeologists.
