The event "Sun and Friends" organized on March 18 at the National Museum of History of Moldova by a group of volunteer parents, was dedicated to informing society about Down syndrome, which is not a disease and anyone can interact with people who were born with this disability. The event also pursued the development of tolerance and openness to the social inclusion of people with Down Syndrome. About 300 people with Down syndrome and other disabilities attended the event, along with their parents or companions.
The organizers of the event wanted to show that children with special needs have the same chances as all the other children and that they have fun and play just like their peers. A varied entertainment program was created, which brought many emotions, smiles and good will among the participants. The entertainment event, animated by the members of the Clounella team, was supported with musical moments by Adrian Ursu, Valentin Uzun, Serj Kuzenkoff and Eva Timuș; moments of illusionism with Garry Cozma; moments of bufonadas with the clown Veaceslav Iacovlev.
