On 2 December 2025, at 16:00, we experienced a memorable evening at the National Museum of History of Moldova. The vernissage of the exhibition ROYAL, dedicated to Queen Marie and to the 107th anniversary of the Great Union, unfolded in a warm atmosphere that embraced history, art and the audience's emotion.The event was opened by dr. hab. On Friday, 28 November 2025, in the ground-floor hall of the National Museum of History of Moldova, the second edition of the project "The artifact from your locality" was successfully concluded. The event brought together the museum community, field specialists, students and institutional partners for a moment of reflection on the initiative's achievements.During the meeting participants looked back on the road traveled through ten public lessons delivered in schools across the country and discussed how these activities managed to bring Moldova's archaeological heritage closer to a variety of local communities. Starting May 20, 2025, the Puhăceni monoxylon (dugout boat), discovered in the Nistru River on September 23, 2023, is now on permanent display in the Medieval Exhibition Hall (Hall no. 8, 1st floor) of the National Museum of History of Moldova.The preservation process of this monoxylon, an exceptionally complex undertaking, lasted nearly two years and was completed in May of this year. The boat was carved from the trunk of a centuries-old elm and has been dated to the 18th century through radiocarbon-14 analysis at the Radiological Laboratory of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland.
